Kenneth J. "Kenny" Snerr, Sr. of Jim Thorpe passed away on Sunday October 16, 2016 at Blue Mountain Health System Gnaden Huetten. He was married to Melissa (Ritter) Snerr. The couple celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary last November.
Born in Lehighton on September 10, 1967 he was a son to George and Carolyn (Lepak) Snerr of Jim Thorpe.
Kenny was a graduate of Marian Catholic High School class of 1985 where he lettered in baseball and football. He attended Elizabethtown University before starting his career in law enforcement. He became an officer for Temple University then moved on to Carbon County Prison as a guard. He entered the Pennsylvania State Police Academy on October 7, 1991, became a state trooper and served 25 years with Troop M Bethlehem posted at Fogelsville and Troop N Hazleton, posted at Lehighton and Fern Ridge stations.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jim Thorpe, the Knights of Columbus, the Masonic Lodge, and the FOP. Kenny gave many years of service to his community in a number of ways but most importantly through coaching at Marian Catholic High School and as a Troop N Camp Cadet Counselor. We can proudly say that Kenny made a lasting impression on everyone he met with his charm, energy, kindness, and sense of humor.
Surviving in addition to his parents and his wife are his children Kenneth, Jr (KJ), Caroline, and Elizabeth, all at home. Sisters Nancy Smith and her husband Todd of Jim Thorpe. Wendy Farrell and her husband Michael of Downingtown, PA. Brothers George Jr. of Berlin, MD and Steven and his wife Jennifer (Ott) Snerr of Etters, PA. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews, several loving aunts and uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Erin R. Joseph of Jim Thorpe passed away Monday October 31, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury.
Born March 17, 1970 she was the daughter of the late Sharon Joseph who passed away December 2009.
She was a graduate of Jim Thorpe High School class of 1988. She attended Allentown Business school where she earned a degree in Accounting.
She worked as a telecommunications technician with Research America. She was a Judge of Elections for the Broadway district in Jim Thorpe. She loved supporting the Carbon County Friends of Animals in any way she could.
She is survived by her family Laura and Francis Marzen Jr. Tara A. and Shawn Skrimcovsky. Carly J. Marzen and Sean F. Marzen. Many special friends and family members.

Nina Schaller, 75 of East Stroudsburg, formerly of Jim Thorpe passed away Monday November 28, 2016 in Pocono Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Thomas Schaller who passed January 2010.
Born September 18, 1941 in East Stroudsburg she was a daughter to the late Leroy and Susie (Spiers) McMurray.
She was a cashier for Pocono 76 Truck Plaza and Turkey Hill in Jim Thorpe.
She is survived by her daughters Denise Richdale and her husband Robert in Canadensis, PA. Michele Bickham and her husband Stephan in Saylorsburg. Grandchildren Ryan Schaller, William Storm, Tia Weiss and Corey Barber. Great grandchildren Sckyler, Zacharey and Eryn Weiss. Nephew Rande' Edinger and many neices and nephews. Grand puppies Amber, MacKenzie, Charlie and Sparky.

Harold W. Glennon, 73 of Jim Thorpe passed away Tuesday November 29, 2016 in Wilkes Barre Veterans Hospital. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Goritski) Glennon. The couple celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this past April.
Born in Dover N.J. July 20, 1943 he was a son to the late James and Etta (Newman) Glennon.
He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era.
He was a Service Technician for Suburban Propane in Whippany NJ for many years before retiring in 2005. He was currently working at Split Rock Resort as an Activities Director.
He was a former member of the North Jersey Riders Motorcycle Club
Surviving in addition to his wife Betty are sons Sean of East Stroudsburg and Brian and his wife Laurie of Newton NJ. Sisters Eleanor O'Grady in Utah and Margaret Oschmann and her husband Richard in Arizona. Grandchildren Allyssa, Leah and Sarah. Great grandchildren Jerel and Bryanna. He was pre ceeded in death by a sister Mary Bencivenga and a brother Jimmy Glennon.

David W. Cruise Sr. of Ambler, Pa. passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 surrounded by his family.
He was the husband of Elizabeth (Hermann) Cruise. The couple celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this past Sept. 12.
Born Feb. 8, 1928, he was employed by Septa for 38 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter, Cynthia Vitola and her husband, Paul, of Horsham, Pa.; sons, David W. Jr. of Orlando, Fla. and Stephen and his wife, Holly, of Jim Thorpe, Pa.; grandchildren, Julie, Paul and Elena Vitola; and his brothers and sisters.

James M. Bennick, 93, of Jim Thorpe, passed away on Friday, Dec. 23, in his home. He was the husband of the late Lorraine E. Bennick.
He worked as a pipefitter out of the Pipefitters Union, Local 524, Scranton, and owned Bennick Oil, Plumbing and Welding and Bennick's Laundromat.
Born in 1923, he was the last of 10 children of the late John and Mary (Lesisko) Bennick.
An Army veteran of World War II, he had the distinction of serving in Europe and attending the funeral of General George S. Patton.
He was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe.
Bennick served many years as a member of Jim Thorpe Borough Council, during which time he held the presidency.
Surviving are three sons, James, and his wife, Vicki, and William, both of Lehighton, and Francis, and his wife, Diane, of Andreas; two daughters, Denise, wife of John Kuntz of Kempton, and Lorrie, wife of Michael Ogden of Ashland; nine grandchildren, Phillip Gintz, Kelly Gothard, Jamie Bennick, Michelle Reis, Francis Bennick, Amanda Bennick, Charles Kuntz, Ryan Bennick and Amber Cunningham; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Michael R. Patrylo, of Jim Thorpe passed away Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, in Geisinger Celtic Hospice & Home Health in Wilkes-Barre. He was the husband of Marianne (Kness) Patrylo with whom he shared 33 years of wedded harmony.
Born Oct. 15, 1952, in Aschaffenburg, Germany., he was the chosen son of the late Rudolph and Anne Masley (Mikitovitz) Patrylo and the long-lost and recently rediscovered son of Joseph and Helga Hildegard (Gotz) Lefebvre.
Michael was a 1974 graduate of Springfield College earning a BS in Psychology. He continued his education at Syracuse University earning a Masters in Experimental Psychology.
Passionate about the next generation of students, Michael spearheaded fundraising and foundation programs for the betterment of Springfield College, which embraces the principles of humanics, community partnership and academic excellence.
Michael had a 27-year career with Citigroup managing various areas such as information security. He retired in 2006 as Director for Crisis Management, including overseeing internal risk and control programs and all global audits. Michael successfully resolved issues on a global scale and played a key role in the bank's recovery from 9/11.
In retirement, Michael enjoyed playing golf and driving his Mustang.
A naturally gifted musician with an ear for harmonies, he loved playing music with his close friend and musical partner of 40-plus years, Keith Naylor. If not on stage or on the golf course, Michael could be found skiing down the mountains of Pennsylvania, Colorado or Utah.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Marianne, are his father Joseph; his mother Helga; sisters Alix Berry and Jeannette Klein; and brothers Bruce, Blane and Blake Lefebvre; along with numerous family and friends which enriched Michael's life in so many ways.
Services: will be held Sunday, Dec. 18, at 1 p.m. in the David J. Stianche Funeral Home, 123 Center St., Jim Thorpe. Calling hours are Saturday 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Sunday 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private.

He was a US Army veteran.
He worked at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. as a clerk.
He is survived by his brother John living in Jim Thorpe. Nephew Ryan and his wife Kerri in Jim Thorpe and Eric J. Yost.
