Dhorka Spiro-Tomassini passed with grace and dignity in the comfort of our home surrounded by her loved ones on March 26, 2022 at 8:07am at the age of 89.
She is survived by her daughter Nicole.
To know Dorothy was to love her. If you met her it was likely you would never forget her.
She was kind, generous, compassionate, intelligent and active in supporting many altruistic causes and individuals. She was a defender of the less fortunate and downtrodden as well as a pillar of the Philadelphia community and a long standing member of St John’s Chrysostom church.
Dorothy was an avid lover of art, music and literature. She was well versed in all subjects and enjoyed intense dialogue with intelligent minds. She was an active civil rights defender at a young age and attended many protests and marches for what she believed in; equal rights for all people, banning the bomb and ending all wars. She will be sorely missed by many, but her memory will live on for generations to come.
A celebration of her life memorial service will be held Sunday April 10th at Saint John’s
237 N 17th St Philadelphia at 10:00 am.
Memory Eternal.
