Edward "Ed" Rovinske, a beloved father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2023, in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. Born on April 14, 1953, in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, a son to the late Joseph and Kathleen (Higgins) Rovinske, Ed was known for his generous spirit, thoughtful nature, and creative mind.
Ed was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Ed was a dedicated family man, always putting his loved ones first. He is survived by his daughter, April Brugan and her husband, Paul, of Jim Thorpe. He was a proud grandfather to Keith and Wyatt Brugan, who will remember him fondly for his playful spirit and the wisdom he imparted. Ed also leaves behind his brother, Francis Rovinske of Allentown, and his sisters, Chris Bott and her husband Bernie, and Kathy Schlecht, both of Jim Thorpe. His family will remember him as a pillar of strength and a source of endless support. Ed was preceded in death by his late brother John Rovinske.
Professionally, Ed was a hardworking and respected heavy equipment operator. He spent many years working for the former New Jersey Zinc Company and later Panther Creek Partners in Nesquehoning. His colleagues admired his dedication, skill, and the camaraderie he brought to the workplace. His work ethic was unmatched, and he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.
In his spare time, Ed enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved the outdoors, spending time with his family, and working on creative projects. His love for life was infectious, and he had a unique ability to find joy in every situation. His positive outlook and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Edward Rovinske's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His generous, thoughtful, and creative spirit will be remembered and cherished forever. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led and the countless ways he made the world a better place.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday September 26, 2023 at 10am, with Father Ronald Minner officiating, in the David J. Stianche Funeral Home, 123 Center Street Jim Thorpe. Calling hour 9 am until the Time of the service. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Jim Thorpe.
