Michael Simone

Michael Simone, 75, of Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 in Brookmont Healthcare, Effort,
PA. He was the husband of Mary (Dooley) Simone. The couple celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary in January.

Born in Manhattan November 12, 1947 he was a son to Dominick and Josephine (Ambrosio) Simone.

He was of the Catholic faith and a member of Saint Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Lake Harmony.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was a bus driver for the New York City transit authority for many years before retiring.

Surviving in addition to his wife are sons Michael Simone, and his wife Tonia  of Hamilton, New Jersey. Eric Simone and his partner, Lauren Castle of Ocoee, Florida. Daughters Elizabeth Simone of Jim Thorpe and Doreen LaGiudice and her husband, Joseph of Cranford, New Jersey. A brother Francis Simone of Staten Island, New York. A sister, Maryann Haddad and her husband, Wade of Beaconsfield, Canada Grandchildren Michael, Julia, Olivia, Peter, Antoinette, Dominick, Paul, and Julian.

Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, May 23 at 10 AM in St Peter the Fisherman Church Catholic Church Lake Harmony. there are no calling hours before mass. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
