Richard “Rug” Mc Ardle 

Richard “Rug” Mc Ardle 63, of Jim Thorpe, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving wife and daughters, on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.   He was the husband of Ann (Porembo) Mc Ardle. They were married for 40 years this past August. Born in Lehighton, April 16, 1958, he was the son of the late Francis and Mary (Wertman) Mc Ardle.  

He was a 1976 graduate of Jim Thorpe High School.  He worked for New England Motor Freight prior to his retirement.  Rug loved cutting his lawn, working in his garage, spending time with family and friends.  

He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Fairview Hose Company and the Germantown Grove Club.  He is survived by his wife, Ann, daughters Ashley, Fieldsboro, NJ and Danielle Jim Thorpe and granddaughters Aubrie and Olivia, brother Robert, sisters Rita Hartigan and Vicki Zaengle.

Services: private, a Celebration of Life will be held in Spring.
