Patricia A. Smith

Patricia A. Smith, formerly of Jim Thorpe, past away Monday, Oct. 16, in Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of Walter Smith, who passed in June 2011.
She was a presser for many years, working at the former Scotty's Fashions before retiring.
Born in Palmerton on Aug. 28, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Clara (Weaver) Gallagher. 
She was a 1956 graduate of Jim Thorpe High School.
She loved playing bingo and visiting casinos in the area.
She is survived by a daughter Kim Heriegel, and her husband Harry, in White Haven; a son, Walter Smith III in Palmerton; granddaughter, Brianne Farrell and her husband Robert Farrell Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Robert III; a sister, Clare Arrington in Georgia; a brother, Ronald Gallagher and his wife, Doris, in Florida.
She was predeceased by: sisters, Grace Boyle, Josephine Flanigan and Irene Mann; brothers, Francis, John and James Gallagher; and two grandchildren, Corey and Brett Haydt.
Services: 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 23, David J. Stianche Funeral Home, 123 Center St., Jim Thorpe. Call 6 p.m. until the time of the services. Interment, private.
